After an official vote count, SGA has announced that the Taylor Health and Wellness Referendum has passed. The results are as follows: 3042 yes, 480 no, 316 abstain. With this passage, the existing building will be deconstructed and a new center, approximately twice the size, will be built on the current site. The new facility will allow for additional features such as a Women’s Health Center, Sports Medicine Clinic, free tests, a drive-through pharmacy, travel clinic, mental health counseling services, and expanded hours. Students will be charged $29 per semester. Date of completion is Fall 2017, which is when the fee will be implemented. For pictures of the rendering, visit the SGA website.
