Victoria Culver Rice, Assistant Director of Student Engagement for Programming, recently won the Chuck Morrell New Professional IPDS Scholarship at the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Annual Conference. The purpose of the Chuck Morrell New Professional IPDS Scholarship is to honor the legacy of Chuck Morrell, a longtime supporter of ACUI and college union director by providing a professional development opportunity for a new professional to attend IPDS: New Professionals Orientation. This scholarship is given annually to a new professional to support their leadership development within both the college union and student activities profession as well as the Association. The scholarship will cover the cost of registration to IPDS: New Professionals Orientation to help a new professional develop their skills as a community builder and develop relationships to last their professional career. By winning this award, Victoria is encouraged to “Be Like Chuck” by:
- Living life to the fullest.
- Working to create collaborative relationships on campus, within their department, and throughout their region.
- Growing the profession through volunteerism in ACUI.
Congratulations Victoria!
