Student Organization Spotlight: International Public Affairs Leaders (iPALs)

iPals

International Public Affairs Leaders (iPALs) is a new organization with a mission of internationalizing Missouri State University.  iPALs are international and domestic student volunteers who assist new international students in adjusting academically, culturally and socially to the United States and to Missouri State University. The iPALs assist in educating new students about campus and community life, provide international students with social opportunities, and act as a resource for students to depend upon. Our mission is to raise awareness on diversity issues, increase cultural competence among all students, conduct research about issues effecting international students, strengthen existing organizations, and possibly create new organizations to meet any unmet needs. This year, the iPALs have assisted with campus and community wide events such as International Education Week, International Student Orientations, and monthly immersion trips.
