Phi Sigma Pi is a coed national honors fraternity that was founded in 1916 and introduced to Missouri State in 1997. Phi Sigma Pi is based around three ideals that, together, form the “tripod.” These ideals are scholarship, leadership, and fellowship. Phi Sigma Pi is a community of brothers who have the opportunity to become leaders, to pursue academic excellence, and to surround themselves with like-minded people with whom they will forge meaningful and lasting friendships. Phi Sigma Pi also tries to give back both to the MSU and Springfield communities. As well as many service events every semester, Phi Sigma Pi annually holds their Sleepout for the Homeless event in partnership with Springfield Habitat for Humanity. Phi Sigma Pi has also won Homecoming at MSU in the student organization category the past two years. Essentially, Phi Sigma Pi gives its members the benefits of an honors society, a social fraternity, and a service organization all wrapped up into one amazing brotherhood.
