Chess Club is open to all students, faculty/staff and anyone in the Springfield community who would like to play chess. We meet every Monday evening from 7-10 p.m. in the Plaster Student Union in Room 317-A. There is no membership fee required to belong to The Chess Club, only a desire to play chess.

Weekly meetings include a host of potential activities such as:

Informal play
Club ladder games
Chess instruction
Discussion of chess openings, strategies and tactics
Speed chess
Tournaments
Review of old chess games
