Before we left, a few of our friends made sure we ate and got the rest of our souvenirs. It was a great goodbye. The flights home were a good time to sleep. Crystal and I made it from LA to Springfield all on our own. We, of course, had our new friends making sure we were okay on the way back. I can honestly say that I wish I hadn’t left. Vietnam has changed my perspective on many things.
As for my time back home, my sleep schedule is very messed up. I am still on Vietnam time. And I am slowly unpacking my suitcase. Only one of my souvenirs was injured on the way back.
There was nothing I felt I was really missing when I was in Vietnam. If I wasn’t wearing glasses, I would recommend sunglasses. And maybe some gifts for the students that were from Missouri. I had a hard time thinking of something for them.
This trip has given me some of the best memories of my life. I have been in contact with all of my friends through Skype and Facebook and I plan on keeping in touch with them for as long as possible.
