Sitting in the airport in Taipe, Taiwan is a surreal experience. The last 24 hrs have been a whirlwind to say the least. We met up at the airport in Springfield at 4am Saturday morning to board our flight to LA. Seven of us worked on our presentation for the group Project Vietnam instead of getting much needed sleep! PVNF were great and met us with wonderful food! The reception we received from delivering the presentation at PVNF was wonderful and I hope they enjoy the research we spent many hard hours on.
After the work it was PLAY TIME! What else do you do in LA other than hit the beach!?! We went to Santa Monica Pier to relax before the waiting game at the airport. We didn’t have much time but enough to enjoy the atmosphere of the pier and ride the iconic roller coaster (pictures to follow in my next post).
We boarded the flight out of LA, FULLY EXHAUSTED, and slept a majority of the 12 hrs in the sky. We flew over Japan but it was too cloudy to see anything so we just went back to sleep or watch movies.
Now we are in a internet cafe in the Taiwan airport (covered in Hello Kitty) waiting to board our flight to Saigon. They are calling our gate so it is bye bye for now!
