Instead of waking up at 2:50 am, I now get up at 4:00 am. My body is adjusting to the time difference.
Yesterday was a free day for all to rest or explore the city on their own. I believe it’s much needed because that is what study away trips are all about — allowing the students to integrate academics with cultural activities.
I spent most of my time in the morning returning emails and confirming meetings for our time in Siagon, Vietnam.
I also got to go visit some temples. Half way done, it started to rain, so I truncated my trip. I went to visit my dad, who’s retired but prefers to live in Vietnam. He had ordered a cake for my son to celebrate his birthday. My son is enjoying the month-long birthday celebration.
