So, I have been such a night owl lately and find myself on amazon looking at travel items that I feel would be very helpful to have on the trip to Asia. I have never owned a pair of Chaco’s but I heard this is a great investment due to all the walking that we will be doing and how hot the weather will be. Another item I have been looking at is a KAVUbag. My friends that went to Peru said this was very light and could hold on to many things and was kept close to the body to avoid getting it stolen. Also, I like that it has a water bottle holder since we wont be able to drink the water from the tab over there. I am going to invest in a travel pillow and blanket for sure and will have that in my carry on. Overall, I feel like I am slowly becoming more prepared for this trip.

Hey Amanda,
I have never owned a pair of Chaco’s too. Be honest, I still think it is expensive. But I am thinking to get one recently. I do believe this will work great for our trip.
I did not plan to get a new bag. But I love the KAVU bag pic you posted. It is super cute and handy. I will look into it, and I may invest one.
ps: we also need a raincoat 🙂

We don’t really need a raincoat. If you need one, you can get a cheap poncho over there rather than bringing one from here.

Hi Amanda!
I have a pair of Chaco’s and LVOE them. When I first bought them it was when I traveled to Costa Rica. They are extremely comfortable and easy to slip on and off. They are great for walking around, hiking, and day to day activities. Plus they can get wet and still have good grip. They can be a little pricey but they are worth it. Plus they last a long time.
I also looked into getting a similar day bag. I looked on Amazon and found a really good with great views. It even had a place for a water bottle and pocket on the front strap for your phone and wallet. Plus it was only about $20.

I have never had a pair of Chaos either, but I think I am going to look into buying a pair. I think they would work well because it will be hot and I assume will be doing a lot of walking. I also need to look into buying a new bag if i can’t find one of my own that works well. Thanks for the tips and personal experience.
