As the day approaches I get increasingly excited and nervous about the adventures we will encounter. One of the things I’m most nervous about is the long plane ride. I have been looking at blogs and articles that list tips for surviving the long hours. One of the articles I found most beneficial is www.busninessinsider.com/how-to-surviv-a-long-haul-flight-2015-8. One tip that I had never thought about before I read this article was the best type of food to eat. Apparently it is good to eat carb-rich and protein-rich foods. They fill you up and help prevent jet lag. When it comes to staying hydrated it says your best bet is water and tea, and to avoid alcohol. The article also says an extra battery pack to charge your portable electronics is a must. Lastly, the most important tip I read from this article is to wear compression socks and do some in-seat exercises to maintain good circulation. I am going to continue reading more of these articles because the flight is my biggest concern t, but these tips definitely make the long haul sound more doable.
