I am a fan of Indian foods (samosa, curry, naan, rice, masala…) and I thought Sri Lanka foods are similar to Indian foods but actually not. I found on CNN list of 12 Sri Lankan foods visitors need to try ttp://www.cnn.com/2014/10/26/travel/sri-lanka-must-try-food/ Then I search on tripadvisor to see restaurants that serve these foods https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurants-g293962-Colombo_Western_Province.html .
I already put curry dishes on my food-to-try list when I visit Sri Lanka to see how they are really different from Indian curry as well as wood apple juice smoothie.

Thanks for the post Bao! After reading through these food items and looking at the pictures, I am very excited to see all the different foods Sri Lanka has to offer! One that stuck out to me was Kottu. They say it is Sri Lanka’s version of an American cheeseburger. The Egg Hopper also sounds interesting! I cannot wait to try them!
