Well it is currently 4 a.m. but I randomly woke up and checked the wifi and finally my phone connected again so what better time to write about my first two days?
Upon arrival I was shocked by the bustle of the city. No amount of research can really prepare you for being in such a lively city. The scooters are unreal. How they drive without fear and proudly own the road, making cars move for them, is just as shocking as it is funny and a little scary.
Today Miranda, Kourtney, Bao, Emily and I were about to present at HUFLIT, a local university. The students were so welcoming and truly seemed to be interested in what we had to say which made all the nerves that we had built up vanish. It was a great experience culturally to see a university outside of America. Shortly after, the second group presented at the American Center and that same feeling existed there. I was impressed by everyone’s English throughout the day. At the American Center a few people our age asked myself and Miranda when we broke out in to groups for some tips for learning English but I would have never known they were ever struggling.
After a long few days my body still is getting tired around 6 p.m. but with only a couple more nights left in Vietnam I plan to push through these next couple days to get the most out of our time here. Now back to bed!

I’ve also been getting tired early in the evening. This puts a damper on my mood, but I as well want to get the most out of the time we have left in this amazing country!
