i want to organize some interesting information I heard in recent two days
American center:
1) if American build up military in vietnam, over 90% of weapons are from either Russian or China. This may boost a opportunit for new industry.
2) in 2016, research indicated that over 95% of Vietnamese has more positive attitude to the United state. Only 5% of them support China.
Dobla:
1)they are just manufacory in vietnam, but they are not targeting vietnam market. This means they are not selling products here. China is one of their main customers
2) it cut over 85% of lead time in vietnam
3) shipping to Australia takes 3 days, shop to Shanghai takes 5 days. CEo said he sees South China Sea as more like a political issue. He doesn’t believe it will affect the company’s shipping cross the South China Sea
4) the reason that they did not choose to build factory in China is because the raising labor cost. Also, it because vietnam government give them more support. Such as building the building with really cheap price

Thank for organizing the information but I believe you miss the points here. Vietnam has been being bullied by China in East Sea (so called internationally South China Sea) in the Paracel Island, even though parts of the island are obviously belonged to Vietnam and others are belonged to Philippines. But China is very greedy to dominate Asia Pacific to control the ocean transportation of oil and other resources. U.S. still hesitate to sell weapons to Vietnam because Vietnam is still a one party country pro-China and human right suppression. Vietnam not only cooperate with U.S. but also with Japan, India, and Israel to improve military power to encounter any unexpected actions from China.
About Dobla,
Southeast Asia (Vietnam and other countries), East Asia (Japan, Korea, China) and Australia are the major market for Dobla, so they do target selling Vietnam market but mostly B2B to artery bakeries and hotels. and export their products to other countries smoothly except China due to China’s changing import regulation. China tries to block as much imports as possible from countries China aims to dominate so as to manipulate both the exporting country’s economy and the foreign company’s business located in that country as well as try to attract the foreign company to invest in China to benefit China itself. Many cargo and trucks from Vietnam have been stopped at the border by China’s unsound sudden import regulation and hurt badly all parties involved.

Thanks for all detail information.
But for Dobla, I remember that he mentioned Vietnam is not their main target market. And he specifically mentioned the shipping period to Shanghai. I still think China is one of their target customers. Also, the chocolate chief said that he flies to China too.
