We visited Temple of tooth yesterday, and we visited Dmbulla Cave Temple. In China, many people are Buddhist, so I have a little bit knowledge about Buddha in China. It is so different. For example, we don’t need to take off shoes when we visit China; people always pray and get lucky charms; most of the temple decorations are red, here is in white color; I never saw any elephant in temple before, etc. it is a new experience for me. Unique cultural experience is what Sri Lanka known for, I’m glad we visited many different places. I can not wait to go to Sigiriya Rock fortress tmr.

Be ready to get sweat tomorrow walking to Sigiriya Rock fortress. 😀
Theravada Buddhism and Mahayana Buddhism share the same core beliefs and devotion to the life and teaching of Buddha, but they do have some differences. Theravada Buddhism is associated with South East Asia and is perhaps closer to the original Indian form of Buddhism. I believe China buddhism is Mahayana, mixed with Taoism.
