A step forward in campus sustainability! As this new semester has started, you may have noticed the appearance of some new recycling stations across campus. These stations, purchased with grant money, consist of a 40-gal landfill container, a 20-gal container for paper and a 40-gal co-mingle bin for plastic and metal waste, and are intended for recyclable materials generated on campus. They are being serviced by student workers paid with money generated by the SustainaFund. At this stage, student workers will now be are taking care of nearly 75% of the aluminum/plastic bins on campus. This is just the start- we expect to add more stations soon!
