Sarah Wiiggin is working on a multi-cultural piece with Agnes Table, a Fulbright Scholar, and a Korean theatre artist. The piece explores Eastern and Western stories and theatre traditions. The artistic team is using the Western text, Mother Courage, and Korean text, Momma’s Stake. As part of the exploration process, they are doing some some site specific work in Korea. They have already performed a workshop showing at Seoul Institute of the Arts and we will perform again at Sadari Movement Lab. Wiggin plans to continue working on the piece to a fully realized production, possibly with the Seoul Institute of the Arts and definitely back in the United States. While in Seoul, she has also co-taught two workshops on devised theatre making: one at the National Theater Company of Korea, and one at Seoul Institute of the Arts.
