The Missouri State University Department of Theatre and Dance and the musical theatre program invite applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Dance. This position begins August 15, 2016.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold a terminal degree in Dance or related field with three years teaching at the university level. In addition, the applicant must have the ability to teach all levels of Jazz Dance, Partnering, Musical Theater Dance Styles, and a large general education lecture in dance appreciation and history. Dance faculty members are expected to choreograph for the department’s main stage Spring Dance Concert and musical theatre productions.
Applications are encouraged from individuals who teach Tap, Dance Improvisation and Composition, Contact Improvisation, and/or World Dance Forms and who have an interest in directing Inertia Dance Company, the department’s student outreach.
