What is TRIO?

A student support program that works with students who fall into one of three categories. They are either first-generation students, special needs or low income. It is a program to help provide these students with the edge that they need to succeed in completing a complete college degree program. Its goals are to enable these students to continue on to completion and level the playing field for these students who enter with fewer advantages than students who have had parents who have gone to college or financial resources that permit them to be better prepared for college.
