I like this. What are the other reasons for dropping besides moving? I like the box for the qualitative data too. I hope students use it because that information is SO helpful for us to improve what we’re doing or to not beat ourselves up when students leave. I feel bad when a student leaves because the class is too hard or, worse, a personality conflict, but if the student is leaving because her husband just got tranferred to Japan, that’s not about me. That’s good to know.

I’m going off to college soon in the Fall of 2011, and I was so excited about buying a big laptop! But now that I have read this article and actually got a chance to think about it, I will be taking my netbook to college with me, I believe it will get me through the toughest of times! =)

I am staff so why am I being charged for printing? I had to use our computer lab printer when my office printer was down. I won’t be billed for this, will I?

WOW, that sounds great! I think its awesome to be able to chate with students on the other side of the world, that are doing the same thing you are, but in a total different colture! How intresting it must be to be able to share information like that with a student that is across the globe!!!
