I met this week with Rachel Heinz, Director of Bear POWER at Missouri State University. POWER = Promoting Opportunities for Work, Education and Resilience, a developing new inclusive college program for students ages 18-26 with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The 2 1/2 year program, which results in a certificate and walking in the graduation ceremony, aims at providing an on-campus experience that increases the students’ avenues towards transition to employment. It’s exciting to see what this program will bring for the future of our students!
Here’s a peek at what’s going on:

We’ll keep watching the development of this program and keep you updated on this great #inclusive program!
