Project ACCESS Edcamp:
Project ACCESS proudly hosted our first Edcamp on Thursday, January 24th, in Springfield, MO, with nearly 70 educators from across Missouri attending! Participants shared and learned with colleagues, networked, answered questions and discussed strategies to assist students who experience autism and related developmental disabilities. The Edcamp model provided a forum for an “un-conference” in which the attendees were able to set their own agenda, create their own topics and choose their teaching approach and learning format. We look forward to providing this valuable opportunity again in the coming year!
Project ACCESS Winter Conference 2019:
The energy carried over into the next day at the first annual Project ACCESS Winter Conference when Sasha Long, BCBA, M.A., of The Autism Helper provided an all-day presentation on “Reducing Problem Behavior using Function Based Interventions” to close to 200 educators and other school personnel, parents/caregivers, school administrators, students and other community members who assist and care for individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities. We are honored to have been able to provide this high-quality professional development and we look forward to hosting Scott Bellini of Building Social Relationships for our Summer Conference coming in June! Stay tuned for additional information!
