Reinforcement

It is so important that we allow our students to CHOOSE what they are earning. Their reinforcers can change throughout the day! Think about after lunch, snacks may not be that reinforcing when they just ate lunch. Think about after recess, physical games and outside time may not be very motivating if they just spent 20 minutes at recess. We call this being satiated. One way to prevent this is to give our students CHOICE and let them pick from a variety of reinforcers (snacks, attention based, technology, movement activities, sensory activities, etc).
