Save the Date for National Transfer Student Week!
The National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) organizes an annual National Transfer Student Week. This year, National Transfer Student Week will be October 21-25, with the theme “Unlocking Potential: Keys to the Transfer Theory”. Missouri State University will have several events throughout the week to celebrate transfer students and transfer advisors. More information will be coming soon!

Inside Higher Ed: Campus Engagement Tip: Give a Sneak Peek at the Transfer Experience
“Starting college can be a scary transition for many students, including transfers. To help ease student anxieties and encourage transfer students to plug in to campus, the University of North Texas created Eagle for a Day”. Stephanie Brown, executive director of orientation and transition programs at the University of North Texas, shares information on what the “Eagle for a Day” program looks like, as well as application and enrollment rates for students who participate in the program.

The Fall 2024 Advisor Forum Schedule is Available!
Please make plans to attend academic advisor forums in the Fall 2024 semester. All sessions count toward the three hours needed for annual renewal of Master Advisor designation. All faculty and staff are welcome, so please encourage colleagues to participate. Registration is strongly encouraged.

Transfer Advising Committee
The Transfer Advising Committee works in cooperation with Transfer Council and the Provost’s Academic Advising Council to develop best practices for transfer advising, facilitate communication regarding transfer student issues, and offer professional development for transfer advisors.
