The National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) hosts an annual National Transfer Student Week. This year, National Transfer Student Week will be October 21-26, 2024. Reducing the Cost of College Transfer
“The process of transferring credits can saddle learners with significant added costs. To remedy this, some institutions are supporting student success through a broader acceptance of transfer credit and other practices aimed at reducing costs to students.” Will Carroll and Meaghan Rajkumar studied multiple institutions to determine the true costs of transfer and discuss their findings.

“Transfer Advising Essentials: What’s New?”
This session is designed to provide attendees with information about exciting updates in academic advising at Missouri State. Updates will be shared on the Transfer Credit Reevaluations and Preapprovals (TCRP) System and National Transfer Student Week, as well as updates from campus advising centers. Registration is encouraged.

Transfer Advising Committee
The Transfer Advising Committee works in cooperation with Transfer Council and the Provost’s Academic Advising Council to develop best practices for transfer advising, facilitate communication regarding transfer student issues, and offer professional development for transfer advisors.
