Kelsey Gascon is a former student of the Darr College of Agriculture where she received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science with a minor in Equine Studies and emphasis in Agricultural Communications and Business.
Gascon is a professional trick rider, Roman rider, horse trainer and entrepreneur within the western industry. She currently owns her business, Trixie Chicks Trick Riders, where she hosts clinics and lessons on how to safely perform trick riding on horses. Her business encompasses the components of horse training, horse expos, sale horses, online horse training membership program, horse training academy, and an onsite western Airbnb.
Her business has been featured on the media numerous times. Platforms such as AQHA magazines, Western Horseman magazines, RockN W Report magazine, COWGIRL webpage, local newsletters, radio stations, and television broadcasting stations. Each publication highlights Gascon’s knowledge and gratitude towards the sport.
Gascon has traveled both nationally and internationally while performing and hosting clinics. She has won an abundance of competitions throughout her career. During the year 2016, Gascon won numerous competitions which include the International Super Ride Trick Riding Competition, Calgary Stampede Trick Riding Competition in Alberta, Canada, and she was crowned as the 2016 North American Trick Riding Champion while competing in Las Vegas, NV during the National Finals Rodeo.
On March 4th, 2022, Gascon traveled to Fort Worth, Texas where she was inducted into the 2022 COWGIRL 30 Under 30 class. This class embraces highly involved young women within the western industry. These individuals consist of either being a corporate executive, professional athlete, media professional, working cowgirl, or someone who is dedicated to the western industry. Out of the 85 qualified applicants, the selected 30 for this year’s class will represent women within the western industry.
