The Art + Design Department is excited to host multidisciplinary artist Sizhu Li for a visiting artist talk on Tuesday, September 28 at 2 PM. The event will take place in Brick City Building 1, room 312.
Sizhu will discuss her exhibition Moonment, which will be shown in tandem with Rachel Youn’s Hothouse in the Brick City Gallery from October 1–November 5, as well as details about her artistic practice as a whole.

Sizhu, originally from the Sichuan Provence in China, is now based in New York. Her work is described as, “immersive kinetic installations to illustrate her understanding of the universe, society, and nature, which was influenced by Eastern wisdom and Western philosophy.” The kinetic works often blend sculptural construction with futuristic influence.

Brick City Building 1 is located at 327 W. Mill Street, Springfield, MO 65806. For questions about the event, call the Department of Art and Design office, 417-837-2330. Face masks are required inside all academic buildings at Missouri State University.
