A 15.7% NSSE Response Rate! It couldn’t have happened without the hard work of Mike McManus, Sue McCrory, Brian Edmond, Jon Lee, Ray Wang, Sreekanth Acharya, Stacey Tune, and Megan Schiller, all of whom helped the assessment team implement the new delivery system via Blackboard.
The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) has been open for less than a week and we’re already outpacing our previous response rates! With only the initial invitation sent out on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, over 1627 students have taken the survey.
As you can see in the table below, our 2019 response rate is already higher than it was after the first reminder in 2016 and only seven percent lower than our total response rate from that year. For our size category, the average response rate after the initial invitation is only 7%.
We had over 800 responses on the first day!
If you know any first year or senior students, encourage them to take the NSSE. It provides the university with valuable feedback and they have the chance to win gift cards from the University Bookstore, cap & gown sets, or a $300 pair of headphones!
