Congratulations to Professor Lindsey Taggart, who has recently been awarded an assessment grant to benefit University Libraries. Funding from this grant will allow Taggart to incentivize student leadership in two focus groups here at MSU over the coming academic year.

With the support of the assessment grant, University Libraries will be able to fund a student’s presentation on student-led focus groups at the Library Research Seminar VII, held at the University of South Carolina.

The student researcher and their fellow panelists will discuss the following aspects of student-led focus groups: leadership and peer engagement opportunities, contributing to continuous improvement through facilitation and data analysis, and communicating/sharing results with stakeholders. The panel’s discussion will have an especial impact on the Library’s textbook reserve and Open Education Resources, as the panelists will help inform the Library how to better support students.

The Office of Assessment would like to thank Professor Taggart for her hard work and extend congratulations.
