This Time of year…

New next year – school teams have the option of attending training onsite in their buildings, at the ATLL, or through a virtual platform like Zoom… and all training is provided free of charge! MO SW-PBS Recognition Award of Excellence
While regional trainings for SW-PBS Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 are coming to an end for the year, SW-PBS consultants are gearing up for School Recognition Time! MO SW-PBS Recognition Award of Excellence provides schools and districts an opportunity to reflect on their progress implementing and sustaining SW-PBS; identifies exemplar schools representing all grade configurations and demographic patterns; and it gives the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education an opportunity to recognize those schools that are implementing SW-PBS at an exemplary level.
Criteria are intentionally set high and are based on effective implementation of the essential components of SW-PBS. Each recognition level typically requires two to three years of intense work to achieve these criteria. These rigorous criteria and time requirements are necessary for schools to develop sustainable systems and practices, and to successfully implement these with staff and students. Many of the state’s most successful schools took a full year to prepare prior to implementing with students!
Award winners will be announced on May 11, 2018 and will be formally recognized and celebrated during the MO SW-PBS Summer Institute at the Tan Tar A Resort on June 19-21.
