Rhonda Hittenberger Ortiz, MELL Instructional Specialist, presented to 200+ participants at the National Association for State Directors of Migrant Education (NASDME) conference in San Antonio, TX. Together, they explored the use of Psychological First Aid as a humane, supportive framework to mitigate the impact of trauma experienced by migrant and immigrant students and families.
