Introducing BrailleNote Touch

March 28, 2016 by Megan Shadrick

Earlier this month, HumanWare introduced the BrailleNote Touch at the 2016 CSUN conference. This is noteworthy because it is the first Android Braille Tablet that can access the Play Store. The BrailleNote Touch is a mix between a traditional touch screen tablet and a braille interface.

“The BrailleNote Touch includes a patent-pending TouchBraille input technology allowing users to efficiently type braille on a touchscreen. This input method brings the control of a traditional note taker to a modern user-friendly experience. Since the user is typing on a touch screen, TouchBraille allows for completely silent typing with no mechanical keys.”
