Tent Theatre upholds tradition with three summer shows

The 55th season will have audiences ‘Rolling in the Aisles’.

Whether it’s revealing the identities of anonymous romantic pen pals, saving the crown from a secret affair, or derailing a ritzy wedding, Tent Theatre’s 2017 season will have something for every audience to enjoy.

The riveting summer lineup features two musicals and one comedy. Tickets go on sale May 1.

  • “She Loves Me” – 8 p.m. June 14-17, 19-24
  • “The Three Musketeers” – 8 p.m. June 29-July 3, 5-7
  • “Nice Work If You Can Get It” – 8 p.m. July 12-15, 17-23

Performance times and ticket pricing

All performances begin at 8 p.m. on the tent pad at the north side of Craig Hall. Tickets are $16 or $25 for adults; $14 or $23 for seniors, students and children; and $12 or $22 for Missouri State faculty, staff and students.

Season tickets are $40 or $69 for adults; and $35 or $64 for seniors, students, children and Missouri State faculty, staff and students. Special group rates are available.

To order tickets, call the Missouri State box office at 417-836-7678 or toll-free at 888-476-7849. Fans can also order tickets at MissouriStateTix.com.

Pre-show picnics

Guests can enjoy show-themed picnic dinners from 7-7:45 p.m. at the Craig Hall south patio. Picnics are $12 and a portion of the proceeds support the Tent Theatre scholarship fund. Place orders at least 24 hours in advance at MissouriStateTix.com or by calling 417-836-7678.

Parking information

Guests may access free parking at the east side of lot 24, located at the southwest corner of Grand Street and National Avenue. Short-term parking for passenger pick-up and drop-off is available on Grand Street on the south side of Craig Hall.
