Record-breaking: It’s the only way to describe the Missouri State University Foundation’s year.
Alumni and friends of Missouri State University donated $21,534,074 to the foundation in Fiscal Year 2018, which ended June 30.
This is the greatest fundraising total in the Foundation’s history. The previous record was $20.3 million in FY 2012.
More than 20,000 donors contributed to various campaigns. These gifts support student scholarships and programs, faculty research and facilities enhancements.
“Missouri State’s community of supporters rallied around us this year,” said President Clif Smart. “Through their generosity, they’ve shown us what they value.”
As state appropriations have continued to decline, these funds are even more important to the success and growth of the university.
“While we celebrate a record-breaking year, we are really celebrating the impact these gifts have on our students, faculty and staff,” said Brent Dunn, executive director of the Missouri State Foundation. “We always look forward to seeing the great things our Bears will do for the world.”
