This year’s Public Affairs Conference is fast approaching. Jenna Bush Hager is this year’s keynote speaker. Even though Jenna is known for being a correspondent on the “Today” show and is a former president’s daughter, we have reason to believe she is just like everyone else.

She calls her parents

My parents get worried if I don’t call them at least once a week. Jenna used to call the White House when she had a question for mom.

She goes to the gym

Having a hard time trying to fit exercise into your busy schedule? Jenna can relate.

She’s a thrill-seeker

Roller coasters are a ton of fun. Jenna absolutely loves them.

She’s close with her sister

Jenna and her sister, Barbara, wrote a book about their time in the White House.

She dresses up for Halloween

The spookiest season of the year is just around the corner. I wonder what Jenna’s costume will be this year?

She has a family group text

I wonder if her mom asks about who left their dishes in the sink, too.

She is an incredible speaker

You can see Jenna’s Public Affairs Conference keynote speech at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 25th at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.

Jenna, who is a UNICEF volunteer, inner-city school teacher, and “Today” show correspondent, will be speaking about how the power of compassion can change lives. This year’s Public Affairs theme is “Unity in Community.”

The keynote is free and open to the public thanks to the Missouri State University Foundation, presenting sponsor Northern Trust, and support from KY3. No tickets or registration are required to attend.

See you there, Bears.
