What’s the threat of warmer weather to farming in Missouri?

Geologist Dr. Toby Dogwiler explains one risk.

Global climate change remains one of the most important domestic and foreign issues facing the United States.

Missourians should also be concerned about climate change. One of the sectors impacted most are Midwest farmers and their communities.

Dr. Toby Dogwiler, a geologist and head of the department of geography, geology and planning at Missouri State University, explains to The Kansas City Star how the very nature of farming in the state is at risk because of warming temperatures.
