Department of Art + Design faculty members share their artistic work outside of the classroom for the Biennial Faculty Exhibition. The exhibition is on view October 20–November 11 and will be open for First Friday Art Walk November 4 from 6–9 p.m.
The galleries often feature the artwork of students and artists of various professional backgrounds, but it is equally important to showcase the skill and influences of the department’s educators. “The Biennial Faculty Exhibition is a great time to learn more about and explore the personal research that our teachers and mentors are working on,” adds Director of Exhibitions Jodi McCoy. Faculty are invited to exhibit anything they would like to share, whether it is their most recent projects or works from their archives.
The exhibition includes work representing all areas of study within the department. The following faculty members have work on view:
Josh Albers, Jimmie Allen, Deidre Argyle, Dr. Fatih Benzer, Keith Ekstam, Megan Frauenhoffer, Maria Gerasimchuk-Djordjevic, Kevin Hughes, Sean Lyman, Jina Seo, Amanda Smith, Gwen Walstrand, Aleksandra Wiecierzewska, Sarah Williams, and Dr. Steve Willis.
Carolla Arts Exhibition Center is located at 326 N. Boonville Ave, Springfield, Missouri. Gallery hours are Monday–Friday 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Call 417-837-2330 for additional details.
