The Bear POWER team is eager to share updates about our volunteer student organization, Bear Blazers.
If you are an MSU student, and want to volunteer with Bear POWER, we invite you to learn how you can become a Bear Blazer. Contact us for more details!
Who are Bear Blazers?
Bear Blazers are student volunteers who provide one-on-one support for Bear POWER students. Bear Blazers develop relationships with Bear POWER students, and these relationships help students with the academic and social aspects of going to college.
How does Bear Blazers work?
All Bear Blazers will submit an application, and attend training before meeting Bear POWER students. Bear Blazers will meet with students and Bear POWER staff weekly.
Bear Blazers will create a circle of support for Bear POWER students. They will work with each Bear POWER student on academics, social skills, and wellness. These connections create natural inclusion of all students within the college setting.
