This spotlight goes out to Dr. Chris Craig. Dr. Craig has been an integral member of the Bear POWER team, providing leadership and experience as Deputy Provost for Missouri State University. Following a career in education, Dr. Craig offers valuable insight as a team member. He is know for his kind and helpful personality, and for his sense of humor. What do you do at Missouri State, and how did you get involved with Bear POWER?
-Deputy Provost, and I became involved through connecting with the disability community and meeting a need.
Why do you think Bear POWER is important?
-Because young people with disabilities need to have more options to pursue their desire in life.
What makes you the most excited about seeing the program come together?
-The opportunity to see the actual participants and the strengths they will bring to the University.
What inspired you to become involved with Bear POWER?
-The opportunity to visit programs in the state and across the country.
How has inclusion impacted your personal life, or career?
-Inclusion opened doors for me, both in terms of employment and community life, where I have never been marginalized because of my disability.
