Is your student interested in developing their leadership skills while assisting other students with their transition to the campus community? Could your student benefit from gaining meaningful experience that will be marketable to future employers?
Residence Life, Housing, and Dining Services is currently accepting Resident Assistant (RA) applications for the 2018-2019 academic year. In addition to gaining valuable experience and skills, RAs receive a free residence hall room, meal plan, and a stipend of $1,900 for the academic year (total value over $10,000).
The knowledge, skills, and abilities acquired through the RA position are transferable and very marketable for students as they enter the professional workplace. RAs are responsible for assisting students with their transition to college and throughout their time while living in the residence hall community. RAs are tasked with creating events to educate and engage students on the floor, in the residence hall, and in the University community. They also have an important role in encouraging student safety through enforcing residence hall policies and working with various campus administrators.
Residence Life will be hosting information sessions for students who are interested in learning more about this leadership position.
