Here at Missouri State, there are many leadership opportunities for your student. I would like to showcase four that your student can apply for today.
Resident Assistant (RA) -Resident Assistants (RAs) help their fellow students make their Missouri STATEment and create a welcoming community where students feel like they belong. The residence hall experience is a crucial aspect of college life, especially for incoming students. RAs help build community within the residence halls by planning educational, academic, social activities, and events; by fostering relationships with residents; and by encouraging campus involvement. University Ambassador – University Ambassadors is an exciting student organization of highly-selected freshmen, sophomore, and juniors motivated to represent Missouri State University. As an Ambassador, you will be responsible for giving tours of campus to prospective high school and transfer students. You will also have the opportunity to represent the university at other on- and off-campus events which showcase our university. Being a member of University Ambassadors is rewarding and a great way to enhance your college experience! Find out more here.
Ursa Experience Major – Ursa Experience group leaders (we call them Ursa Majors) guide new students (called Ursa Minors) as they participate in fun, engaging activities designed to help them learn about Missouri State University’s history, tradition, and public affairs mission. They also help Ursa Minors connect with each other and begin to identify as Missouri State Bears! Your student can find out more information here.
