The Missouri State football Bears kick off the 2018 season facing the Lincoln University Blue Tigers on Thursday, September 6 at 6:00PM. All students are admitted to the game for free by showing their BearPass ID at the student entrance. The first 500 students in attendance at the game will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of Traditions Council. There will also be free Chick-Fil-A for students available on The Clif, the patio at the top of the student section. As the only night game of the season, it is definitely not one your student will want to miss.
In preparation for the first home game, Traditions Council will host the fifth annual Rally in the Valley pep rally on Tuesday, September 4 at 6:00PM. Be sure to encourage your student to attend to learn more about the football-related traditions at Missouri State. They will have the opportunity to meet with football players and get acclimated with the student section. The first 1,000 students to attend will receive a free t-shirt and there will be plenty of free food following the event.
Can your student not wait to kick off the football season? Encourage them to sign up to participate in the Traditions Council bus trip to Oklahoma State on Thursday, August 30. Each student will be provided with a ticket to the football game and a seat on the chartered bus. To participate in the trip, students should sign up in the Office of Student Engagement (PSU 101) by Friday, August 24 at 5PM. Sign-ups will begin at 8AM on Monday, August 20. Each student will need to bring a $10 deposit to hold their spot, which will be refunded as soon as they check into the trip.
