Student Activities Council is excited to welcome students back to campus for the spring semester! Be sure to encourage your student to check out their Winter Week events:
Monday, January 14: Hot Chocolate Giveaway (PSU Northeast Lounge, 9am-noon): Stop by anytime to grab a free hot chocolate and a new mug!
Wednesday, January 16: Winter Week Comedian- Rachel Feinstein (PSU Theater, 7pm): Check out this free show featuring Rachel Feinstein, best known for her role in Trainwreck and Netflix’s The Standups.
Thursday, January 17: BearWear Bingo (PSU Food Court, 9pm-midnight): Students can participate in free games of bingo to win Missouri State gear.
Tuesday, January 22: Coffee Shop Sound (PSU South Lounge, 7-9pm): Grab a free cup of coffee or hot chocolate and check out some of MSU’s student musicians and artists.
Wednesday, January 23: SAC Lunch-Defining Depression (PSU 308, 12:15pm): Stop by for a free lunch and discussion about how to recognize depression in yourself and others.
Wednesday, January 23: A Star Is Born (PSU Theater, 8pm): Join SAC for a free showing of the critically-acclaimed film, A Star is Born. They will have free popcorn.
Thursday, January 24: Rollin’ Into the New Year (Foster Recreation Center, 9pm-midnight): Have you every wanted to try out roller skating? Now is your time. Stop by for a free opportunity try roller skating.
Friday, January 25: Pajama Rock’n’Bowl (PSU Level 1 Game Center, 7-10pm): Don your favorite pair of pajamas and stop by the Level 1 Game Center for free bowling, food, and games.
In addition to these events, SAC has plenty of other fun events planned for the semester. Each Thursday night, they host After Hours from 9pm to midnight. These events vary from week to week and include trivia nights, craft nights, and sports-related events. Additionally, each Friday SAC hosts Rock’n’Bowl from 7 to 10pm, where students can bowl or play games for free. Most Rock’n’Bowls feature a theme and sometimes include free food or giveaways.
The best way to stay up-to-date on SAC events is to follow them on social media @MOStateSAC. If your student is interested in joining SAC, they are accepting applications via CampusLink through January 25.
