Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services – What You Need to Know in February

February 10, 2022 by Priscilla Childress

RE-APPLICATION:  If your student hasn’t already signed up to live with us, now is the time to get signed up to live on campus for next year. Our application process is open and students can fill out a housing application by going to their My.MissouriState.edu and selecting ‘Complete Application’ in the housing channel.

If your student is exploring their options, returning students have until April 1 to cancel their housing application with no penalty. Check out our Re-Application website for more details: http://reslife.missouristate.edu/Reapplication.htm

ROOM CHANGES: Does your student want to move rooms for this semester? Our online room change process is open; residents can go online to see what spaces are currently available. This can be found on My.MissouriState.edu by selecting ‘Room Change’ in the housing channel.

NEED SPRING BREAK HOUSING: – If your student needs Spring Break Housing because they live in a closed building (Blair-Shannon, Freddy, Wells, or Woods), they can sign up through our main housing office or online https://forms.missouristate.edu/reslife/BreakHousing.php

LOOKING FOR A SUMMER JOB?: Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services is looking for student desk workers for our Summer 2022 operations. This is a great position to build leadership and customer service experience. Summer desk workers assist in building operations for summer school as well as our camps and conferences program by working an information and security desk in a residence hall or apartment building.

Applications are online and are open beginning February 14 until February 28. Apply here: https://jobs.missouristate.edu/postings/60702

FUTURE BEARS:  (Fall admitted students) Make sure to complete your housing application. You need to pay your housing deposit, have your parents e-signature on file if it’s required, and have met the meningitis requirement to complete your contract. You can check if you have paid your deposit or met the meningitis requirement by going to My.MissouriState.edu to view this under the Housing Channel – Application Summary.

You can cancel your housing application before May 1 with no penalty (and receive the $100 deposit back). Meningitis vaccination records can be e-mailed to MagersMedicalRecords@MissouriState.edu. Assignment notices will be sent to the student’s Missouri State email at the end of May, so get ready to Live Like a Bear!
