Several students and faculty from the biology department at Missouri State University attended the Ninth Biennial Symposium of the Freshwater Mollusk Conservation Society. Amy Maynard, biology graduate student, won best student poster for her presentation “Sex-specific Mitochondrial Genes: Tools for Understanding Unionid Reproduction and Development.”
