CMB student places 3rd at Regional Conference

Senior Cell and Molecular Biology Student, Joe Harvey, placed 3rd in the Biological Science catagory at the 2010 Arkansas IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) research conference. Joe's poster and presentation title was Isolation and Culture of Microvascular Endothelial Cells. Joe works with Dr. J.J. Wang in her research. Associate Director of Discovery Chemistry at Genentech Dr. Wendy Young to Visit the BMS Department and MSU Campus.

250+ visitors this spring!

The BMS department has hosted over 250 area high school students this spring providing an interactive look into what happens around here. Three separate modules, including Dietetics, Human Anatomy, and Human Biology, gave each student a hands on expierence.
