These students fit our brand personality of pragmatic and optimistic, engaged and tenacious, genuine and grounded. These defining traits are emphasized throughout the viewbook, the admissions office flagship recruitment publication. The printed recruitment materials won Silver and Bronze awards from District IV CASE in 2016. More than 15 percent of Bears are from states outside of Missouri. Information like the out-of-state fee waiver and cost comparisons are key among the messages shared with students who are interested in attending Missouri State. Students have the opportunity to request additional information on academic and co-curricular offerings online, as well as when they visit with an admissions representative. Missouri State takes a bit of Bear spirit to the Chicago area to meet with prospective students who want to know more about how a public affairs education will serve them throughout life. High ability prospective students are invited to apply for the presidential scholarship, Missouri State’s most valuable academic award.
