Missouri State University’s Model UN club attended the virtual Midwest Model United Nations (MMUN) conference February 18-20, 2021.
While we missed traveling to St. Louis this year, the Gatherly platform allowed the conference to go on even in these challenging times.
Our club represented three countries this year: Brazil, Cuba and Turkey on six different committees. With only 10 MSU delegates participating this year, we are incredibly proud to have won 8 awards!
Distinguished Delegation award to Turkey, represented by Lucas Merz, Brennan Murphy, and Chloe Mitchell.
Outstanding Delegation Award and Position Paper Award for ECOSOC to Turkey, represented by MSU Model UN President Lucas Merz.
Honorable Mention Delegation Award for Security Council South to Russia, represented by Chase Coger.
Position Paper Awards for General Assembly First Committee to Brazil, represented by Brian Shields, and Cuba, represented by Jared Aldrich.
Position Paper Award for General Assembly Second Committee to Cuba, represented by Caleb Shull.
Position Paper Award for UN Environment Assembly to Turkey, represented by Brennan Murphy.
