Sigma Pi IDEAL sponsored the Dr. Michael N. Compton Public Affairs Essay Contest. A ceremony was held on Monday, November 7 to hand out the awards to the seven recipients. There were five submissions from the College of Humanities and Public Affairs with two receiving awards.
1st Place Winner was Sophia Spanger, a senior Philosophy major. Her chosen Charity is the National Alliance on Mental Health. Her winning essay will be posted on the Public Affairs page of the MSU website.
3rd Place Winner was Alanna Bryson, a Sophomore History Education major.
