This fall semester, residents of the Blair and Shannon Residence Halls will find that their wireless has been improved dramatically. Over the course of the summer, technicians have been busy replacing access points throughout both buildings and adding many new ones. As a result, wireless users in these buildings will experience much higher wireless density, better wireless speeds and more reliable connections than they had before. There have been additional improvements to the network infrastructure in the building, including increasing the internal bandwidth in the building and to the core, and upgrading to the newest wireless standard, 802.11ac.
