Rebecca Smotherman Receives Post-Secondary Counselor Award

R Smotherman - revised photoMrs. Rebecca Smotherman, Instructor of the MS Counseling Program, was named the 2016 Southwest Missouri Post-Secondary Counselor of the Year by the Southwest Missouri School Counselor Association (SMSCA). She was presented with this award at the SMSCA Administrator Appreciation and Awards Brunch on Friday, March 4, 2016, at the Missouri State University campus. Mrs. Smotherman is a certified School Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor (RPT-S). She serves as the Director of Play Therapy Institute and the MS: Counseling Practicum & Internship Coordinator for Missouri State University. She is shown here with her family who were able to share the surprise as she received this unexpected award!
